Winery Introduction
Abidil is a small part of Batailley next door, which has been separated from this manor since 1942. From the beginning of the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century, before the division, the history of the two manors was inseparable. The original name of Bill Manor was said to have originated in the military, perhaps referring to a war, and the other saying came from a grape farmer named Bill. In any case, there was a name in the late 18th century. Bill's vineyards later became the present estate of Bill and Obitier. The vineyard at that time was owned by the Saint-Martin family. In the continuous change of ownership, the original Bill manor was developed and expanded from the original 39 hectares to 55 hectares, and the brewing equipment was also updated. Ranked 5th-class estate in the 1855 rating.
In 1932, after the death of Hampson, the owner, the Poris brothers bought a manor house. Before 1942, the manor was divided into two parts in order to avoid future inheritance of the manor house, which is today's Bill and Obeti. Seoul. François obtained a relatively small part of the vineyards, and in 1951 the vineyard was expanded by buying some vines from the Duhart-Milon estate, which formed the Obertieth manor. The larger part is owned by Matthew, including the part of the castle, and retains the original name of the vineyard, "Bill." The two estates have entered their respective development paths.
Francois placed more attention on the Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou estate, which continued until his death in 1953. Duggaga House and Nagos Gospel passed to his son Jean-Eugene, while Obitir Manor went to his female François Brest-Bori ( Françoise de Brest-Borie). However, the management of the manor was handed over to Jean-Eugene, and today the manor is run by François-Xavier, the son of Jean-Uggini.
